What is the Essential Protection Plan?

The Essential Protection plan is the foundation of Ok Alone’s lone worker safety system, providing the essential tools for ensuring your team’s safety. With this plan, your workers can use the core features of the Ok Alone system, including timed activity alerts, location monitoring, incident reporting and man/worker down alerts.

How Essential Protection Works?

Workers with smartphones can easily access all lone worker features via our app. The app allows workers to check in at regular intervals, ensuring their safety is consistently monitored. They can also trigger help alerts, activate person/worker down detection monitoring, and perform high-risk check-ins when needed.

How Are Monitors Notified?

Once assigned to workers, Monitors are notified instantly if a check-in is missed. Alerts can be sent through a variety of channels, including SMS, email, auto-call, and WhatsApp. These alerts are displayed on the Ok Alone Safety Dashboard, giving Monitors a clear view of the worker’s current status and escalation procedures.

What if an Alert is Missed?

In the event that a lone worker misses a check-in, all assigned Monitors will receive an alert simultaneously. The Ok Alone dashboard allows Monitors to view the worker’s information and their GPS location. From here, they can initiate the worker’s escalation procedure, ensuring that help is dispatched quickly.

The Essential Protection plan offers a cost-effective way to enhance the safety of your lone workers without requiring advanced automation. You maintain control by assigning monitors and managing oversight, with workers able to check in from nearly any device. Alerts can be sent through multiple channels, ensuring monitors stay informed.

This plan requires your team to actively manage and respond to safety alerts, providing flexibility but relying on internal resources. Essentials Plan Terminology

Timed Activity Alerts:

Notifications triggered when a worker doesn’t check in after a set task timer expires, alerting monitors to potential issues.

Person/Worker Down:

The Person/Worker Down feature can be set to a period of time between 3 minutes to 1 hour. If there has been no movement within that time frame an alarm sounds, indicating possible injury or emergency.

Incident Reporting:

A system for logging safety incidents, allowing for quick documentation and improved risk management.
